Join us at Oak & Iron to sample awesome craft beers, see local artist Rob Surette perform his famous inspirational speed-painting show and find out more about the Dascomb Road Project. It’s all happening on Monday, December 18th, 7PM—9PM.

Mix, mingle and get your questions answered by Sal Lupoli and the whole Lupoli Companies team, then sip signature drafts, like Andover Easy Ale or BlackJack and watch renowned artist, Rob Surette create incredible speed paintings.

Catching up with Rob, he talks about what to expect next week. “When you experience something amazing in your community, like this Dascomb Road Project, you feel so happy to live in that community,” says Rob. Excited to be part of Monday’s event, he adds that “speed painting celebrates the power of the human spirit. People walk away feeling so positive and self-empowered.”

Aside from being featured on The TODAY Show twice, GOOD MORNING AMERICA twice, The TONIGHT Show, and The OPRAH WINFREY Show, Rob has set five World Records and is one of a handful Top-Tier Master Fine Artists for: Disney, LucasFilm, DC Comics Muppets, and DreamWorks.

You may have seen a few of his masterpieces around Andover, like his LEGO Statue of Liberty at High Plain Elementary School, original works in Whole Foods, the outdoor mural at The Professional Center for Children and the Tom Brady portrait on display at South School—it is the Guinness World Record holder for the largest portrait ever created out of crayons! “I love the Andover community. I have lived in this area for 15 years and it’s been a marvelous place to raise a family,” says Rob.

Now Rob will become the resident artist of Dascomb Road. “I would like to create artistry which would separate this project from any other similar in the USA,” says Rob. Fueled by his goal of creating a better world through the vehicle of art, he looks at the Dascomb Road Project as an opportunity to create experiences through a variety of mediums, possibly sculptures, murals, multi-media and more, “where everyone will want to pull out their cell phones to take pictures and share with everyone they know,” he adds.
